Randall “Randy” Phillip, age 70, of Philip, South Dakota, formerly of Rapid City, died on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Scotchman Living Center in Philip.

Randall Dean Phillip, age 70, born February 14, 1953, in Alliance, NE to Robert and Alma Bernadine (Colling) Phillip died on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Scotchman Living Center in Philip, SD. Randy was a jack of many trades who worked and lived in many places including Costa Rica. While living in Plainfield, NJ, He and Allan Mintzer, owned and operated the Victorian Mansion, Questover, where they hosted many weddings and social events, He also owned and operated Kansas Floral Shop in Plainfield.

He is survived by his siblings Don (Verlene) Phillip and Roberta Phillip of Hermosa, SD, Janice (Archie) Lawrence, of Alliance, NE, and Mary Dietrich of Keystone, SD, nieces, and nephews with special mention of nephews, Walt, Scott, and Terry.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brother-in-law and a niece and a nephew.

Arrangements are with Rush Funeral Home of Philip, South Dakota.

Unfortunately, these are the only pictures I could find of Randy.  First one is his kindergarten picture that Grandma Alma Phillip always had hanging in her home.

This picture is in 2000 at the Phillip Family Reunion in Alliance.  Picture includes Sister Alma (Aunt Jo, and myself {Sharon})

2000 Reunion and 60th Anniversary - Alliance NE

Ken and Harriet's 60th Anniversary party was held in Alliance on Saturday, July 29, 2000.  Friday night there was a no host dinner at the Country Club.  Saturday we had a Steph from Steph's Studio in the park for family pictures and lunch;  then there was a reception at the Methodist Church and a dinner in the park.

As always, double click on the pictures for a better view.  I have written names on some of the pictures for more clarity.

Here are a few of the posed pictures for the photographer:
Back row:  Jim, Sharon, Tony, Ken, Ray, Judi, Paul, Colleen, Dick, Bill
Front row:  Kathi, Harriet, Cindy, Janet

Back row ~ Bill, Dick, Paul, Jim
Front row ~ Ray, Ken, Sharon, Harriet

Back row ~ Scott, Leanne, Dani
Front row ~ Ethan, Ray, Judi, Ruby Jo

Bill and Janet seated

Brittany and Nick, standing
Jim, Cody, Kathi, seated

Dennis, Jeanna, Cally and Casey

This is a picture of all the Phillip family and extended family, plus a few friends.  I have tried to put everyone's name on the picture.  I believe the ? mark is a nephew of Sherry (Cory's wife).  Cally is holding a certificate ~ some school project to see if you could be in a summer event with the most people.  Amazing how ten years will change the looks of a group of people, particularly the young ones.

There were a lot of cake pictures at this reunion.  It was Cally's birthday, close to Sister Elma's birthday, and of course ~ the 60th anniversary cake.

Casey was assigned to help people in the door (he's doing a great job here)

A lot of the attendees watching as the photograph session was in progress.

More onlookers during the photo session.

A fun picture of Harriet and Ken as the photographer was taking their picture.

Hayley (Paul's daughter) and Ruby Jo (Ray's sgranddaughter)

Because it was Cally's birthday, and because she was born during our first Phillip reunion in Pullman, Wa, she gave a short speech at this reunion/anniversary party.
